What is EURO-CIU?
European Association of Cochlear Implant Users

The European Association of Cochlear Implant Users (EURO-CIU) was founded 1995 in Luxembourg.

The Association represents at European level the interests of deaf or hearing impaired people, who have regained hearing perceptions through a Cochlear Implant (CI) device. There are now 21 countries in EURO-CIU, each represented by their national CI User Association.

EURO-CIU, representing over 70,000 of hearing impaired and implanted persons, is one of the biggest European NGO for disabled people and the only one which operates in three main EU languages: English, German, and French.

EURO-CIU is full member of the European Disability Forum (EDF).
