European Association of Cochlear Implant Users
The European Association of Cochlear Implant Users (EURO-CIU) was founded 1995 in Luxembourg.
The Association represents at European level the interests of deaf or hearing impaired people, who have regained hearing perceptions through a Cochlear Implant (CI) device. There are now 21 countries in EURO-CIU, each represented by their national CI User Association.
EURO-CIU, representing over 70,000 of hearing impaired and implanted persons, is one of the biggest European NGO for disabled people and the only one which operates in three main EU languages: English, German, and French.
EURO-CIU is full member of the European Disability Forum (EDF).
It’s website is at eurociu.implantecoclear.org where its Newsletter is published.
